What joy for those whose rebellion is lifted away, whose failures are covered over.

What joy for the one Yahweh no longer counts their wrongs against them — someone with no dishonesty hiding inside.

When I kept silent about it all, my bones wasted away — I was groaning all day long.

Day and night your hand pressed down heavy on me. My strength dried up like moisture in a summer drought. Selah.

Then I laid it all bare before you — I stopped hiding my wrongs. I said, "I will bring all my rebellion to Yahweh" — and you lifted the guilt of my failure right off me. Selah.

Because of this, let everyone who is faithful pray to you while you can still be found — then even when the flood waters rise, they will never reach them.

You are my hiding place — you guard me from trouble, you surround me with songs of rescue. Selah.

"I will teach you and show you the path to walk. I will guide you — my eyes are on you."

Do not be like a horse or mule that cannot understand — whose wildness must be held in check with bit and bridle, or they will not come near you.

Many are the pains for those who turn away — but the one who trusts in Yahweh is wrapped in his faithful love.

Celebrate in Yahweh! Let joy overflow, you who are upright! Shout out loud, all you whose hearts are true!
