Yahweh spoke to Moses:

"Bring Aaron and his sons, along with the garments, the anointing oil, the bull for the failure offering, the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread.

Then gather the entire community at the entrance to the meeting tent."

Moses did exactly what Yahweh commanded. When the community gathered at the entrance to the meeting tent,

Moses told the community, "This is what Yahweh has commanded to be done."

Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.

He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, dressed him in the robe, and placed the vest on him. He fastened the vest with its woven waistband, securing it on him.

He placed the chest-piece on him and put the Urim and Thummim into the chest-piece.

He placed the turban on Aaron's head, and on the front of the turban he attached the gold plate, the crown that belongs to God, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the dwelling place and everything in it, so that all of it belonged to God.

He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointing the altar and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, to set them apart.

He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head, anointing him to set him apart.

Then Moses brought Aaron's sons forward, dressed them in tunics, tied sashes around them, and wrapped headbands on them — just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

He brought the bull for the failure offering forward, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the bull's head.

Moses slaughtered it and took the blood. He applied the blood to the horns of the altar on all sides with his finger, purifying the altar. Then he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar, setting it apart to make things right on it.

Moses took all the fat around the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and burned them on the altar.

But the rest of the bull — its hide, its meat, and its waste — he burned outside the camp, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

Then he brought the ram for the entirely-burned offering forward, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the ram's head.

Moses slaughtered it and splashed the blood against the sides of the altar.

He cut the ram into pieces, and Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.

He washed the internal organs and the legs with water. Then Moses burned the entire ram on the altar. It was an entirely-burned offering — a soothing aroma, a fire-gift to Yahweh — just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

Then he brought the second ram forward — the ram of ordination — and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the ram's head.

Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood. He applied it to the lobe of Aaron's right ear, to the thumb of his right hand, and to the big toe of his right foot.

Moses then brought Aaron's sons forward and applied some of the blood to the lobes of their right ears, to the thumbs of their right hands, and to the big toes of their right feet. Then Moses splashed the rest of the blood against the sides of the altar.

He took the fat — the fat tail, all the fat around the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with their fat — and the right thigh.

From the basket of unleavened bread that was before Yahweh, he took one loaf of unleavened bread, one loaf of oil bread, and one wafer. He placed them on top of the fat portions and the right thigh.

He put all of this in Aaron's hands and in his sons' hands, and they waved them as a wave offering before Yahweh.

Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar on top of the entirely-burned offering. This was the ordination offering — a soothing aroma, a fire-gift to Yahweh.

Moses also took the breast and waved it as a wave offering before Yahweh. This was Moses' portion from the ordination ram, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar. He sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. In this way Aaron and his garments, and his sons and their garments, all came to belong to God.

Moses told Aaron and his sons, "Boil the meat at the entrance to the meeting tent and eat it there with the bread from the ordination basket, just as I commanded: 'Aaron and his sons are to eat it.'

Whatever is left over of the meat and bread, burn it up.

Don't leave the entrance of the meeting tent for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed — because your ordination will take seven days.

What was done today, Yahweh has commanded to be done to make things right for you.

Stay at the entrance of the meeting tent day and night for seven days, and keep Yahweh's charge so that you don't die — because this is what I've been commanded."

Aaron and his sons did everything that Yahweh had commanded through Moses.
