On that day, Yahweh will punish with his sword — his fierce, massive, powerful sword — Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent, and he will slaughter the dragon in the sea.

On that day — "A delightful vineyard — sing about it!"

"I, Yahweh, am its keeper. I water it constantly. I guard it night and day so that no one can harm it."

"I hold no anger. If only thorns and briars would come against me — I would march against them in battle, I would burn them all together."

"Or else, let them take hold of my strength, let them make peace with me — yes, let them make peace with me."

In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole surface of the earth with fruit.

Has he struck them down the way he struck those who struck them? Have they been killed the way their killers were killed?

By exile, by sending her away, you contended with her. He removed her with his fierce blast on the day of the east wind.

On that day, a great ram's horn will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria will come, and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt, and they will worship Yahweh on the mountain that belongs to him, in Jerusalem.
